Biography of Encaustic Artist Trudie Ann Moore

I was born in the U.K. in 1953, and inspired by my uncle, a gifted sketch artist, art became an integral part of my life. I migrated to Sydney in 1978, at age 23, and continued developing my art, attending classes in oils and watercolours. After being introduced to Encaustics in 2008, a love affair of using pigmented beeswax to create art, began. I progressed from greeting cards and small panels, to complex works on large canvas. My first exhibition was held at The Olde Block Factory Faulconbridge in 2011. Other exhibitions include The TAP Gallery & Archetype Gallery Darlinghurst, GP On Ebley Bondi Junction, and Galleries 118, and One 88 Katoomba.

I believe that art is a way of making a difference and giving back. I donate my works

for Cancer-related charities, the AIDS Council of NSW, and have facilitated art classes for community centres as part of the Bushfire Recovery program.

All my works are for sale via my on-line gallery at: www.trudiemoore.com.au
