Gallery of Margaret Ng

Born in Queensland, Margaret grew up with the colours of the outback and the rainforest which are reflected in her works. She gained a love of the Australian bush from her childhood family camping holidays.

She studied acrylic and oil painting under Maree Sproats at Dural Art Studios, and plein air painting from Kasey Sealy and John Wilson.  Margaret also learnt watercolour and pen and wash with Joe Cartwright at Penrith.  Her main influence though was her mother, Gwen Chalmers, who was a passionate painter of over 30 years.

She is also tutoring at Springwood Community Arts Centre where her pen and wash classes are proving very popular.
